In my practice, I have the privilege of supporting individuals as they navigate the deeply personal and painful journey of grief and bereavement.  The loss of a loved one, or any significant loss, can plunge us into a sea of emotions, from profound sadness and confusion to loneliness and despair. My role is to accompany you on this journey, offering compassionate understanding as you move towards healing and acceptance of a new way of life.

 
 
 

Understanding Grief

Grief is a natural, yet complex response to loss, unique in its expression in each of us. It can envelop our entire being—emotional, physical, and spiritual—leading to a profound sense of disconnection from the world. Symptoms of grief can vary widely, including deep sadness, denial, shock, yearning, anger, guilt, and at times, an overwhelming sense of numbness and depression.  Recognising and respecting these feelings as part of the grieving process is to begin healing.

My Personal Approach

As a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist, my approach to grief begins by establishing a secure and empathic space where we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship. With heartfelt understanding and without judgement, we explore the depth of your loss, acknowledging the multitude of emotions and memories that it can evoke. Through techniques like guided imagery, mindfulness, and expressive writing, we gently access your inner reservoir of strength and wisdom, facilitating a process of integration and Self-discovery.

Together, we also explore the spiritual dimensions of your experience, seeking meaning and connection amidst the pain. Developing practical strategies for navigating daily life, including somatic awareness exercises, stress-reduction techniques, and ways to maintain connection with supportive others, is part of our work. Addressing grief holistically—body, feelings, mind, soul and spirit—enables you to embark on a path of Self-Realisation and growth, transforming your relationship with loss and moving towards a renewed sense of purpose and joy.
